$44.6 million plan in Lincoln County district would pay for new elementary, other facility upgrades.
Lincoln County, N.C., commissioners have decided to place a $44.6 million bond proposal on the May 2008 ballot. The funds would enable the district to build a new elementary school and renovate existing facilities in the district. The school board had requested a November 2007 election, but the commissioners say they believe turnout will be higher in May.
