Maintenance, administration hardest hit by California school budget cut

State education department survey says 65 percent of districts cut maintenance

From The Contra Costa Times: Maintenance, instructional materials and district administrative costs have been the top three casualties as school districts in California trimmed millions of dollars in the last two years, according to a statewide survey of where schools cut the most. The survey was released by the California Department of Education.
