Missouri district restores student access to gay and lesbian web sites

ACLU complaint prompts North Kansas City officials to act

From The Kansas City Star: After complaints from the American Civil Liberties Union, the North Kansas City (Mo.) School District says it has restored students’ access to to educational websites about gay, lesbian and transgender issues. The district says that two websites that the ACLU said were blocked are now open and accessible.The ACLU had sent letters to the North Kansas City and Rochester (Mich.) districts, urging them to stop blocking students’ access.
