Charter school in Tyngsborough, Mass., emphasizes hands-on learning

Nov. 18, 2010
Innovation Academy Charter School began 14 years ago

From The Boston Globe: The granite-and-brick building in Tyngsborough, Mass., has the feel of a prep school, with strands of ivy crawling on the outside walls in the shadow of the 220-acre, mostly forested campus. The 80,000-square-foot complex houses the publicly funded Innovation Academy Charter School. Situated in the former Wang Institute, the school was founded 14 years ago by parents that wanted more hands-on learning for their children.
