Lewis College of Business loses accreditation

Lewis College of Business, the only historically black college in Michigan, has lost its accreditation, putting the future of the Detroit institution on shaky ground. The decision by the Higher Learning Commission means the college's 250 students will no longer have access to federal financial aid, and other institutions may not recognize Lewis' transfer credits.
