Gunman holds school board hostage, then kills himself in Panama City, Fla.

From The Panama City News-Herald: A gunman held the school board of the Bay (Fla.) District in Panama City hostage, ultimately opening fire on board members before being shot and disabled by the district’s police chief. After being shot several times, the gunman, Clay Duke, 56, shot himself to death. The police chief, Mike Jones, was not physically hurt in the incident, but was taken to a local hospital for observation. No one else was shot or injured in the incident, even though Duke fired at Superintendent Bill Husfelt at point-blank range.
