IBM drops out of University of Illinois supercomputer program

Technology needed was more complex and cost more than expected

From The Daily Illini: IBM has pulled out of its contract with the University of Illinois' National Center for Supercomputing Applications that would have provided the program with a supercomputer for its Blue Waters project. The company said the technology required for the project was more complex and needed more financial and technical support than expected.
