From The San Antonio Express-News: Officials from the city of San Antonio and the San Antonio Education Partnership will help launch the Cafe College resource center, a facility designed to assist students in pursuing higher education goals. To bolster efforts of high school counselors and college outreach specialists, Cafe College staff will offer area residents free assistance in selecting, preparing for and applying for post-secondary education opportunities. Staff at the center also will work to demystify the process of accruing financial aid. The downtown center will cater primarily to high school and middle school students seeking to attend universities, community colleges or career training programs. But the college access center also will assist transfer students and college students who stopped attending before completing their degrees.
