Texas district unveils new high school

San Marcos facility will accommodate 2,500 students.

The San Marcos (Texas) district has opened a new high school. The $53 million facility has 347,037 square feet of space and will accommodate 2,500 students in grades 9 to 12. It building is divided into two major wings--one for academics, and one for fine arts and athletics. It has 60 general learning classrooms, 14 science labs, six special education resource classrooms and several career and technology classrooms. The architect is Pfluger & Associates.
