System seeks funds to renovate aging facilities

From KRGE-TV: Votershave approved the Albuquerque (N.M.) Public Schools $616 million bond proposal to fix up schools and build a new football stadium. Big-ticket items for the money includes $26 million for Rio Grande High School and $38 million for a new sports complex and football stadium on Albuquerque's West Side. FROM JANUARY 2010: Voters in Albuquerque (N.M.) school district will go to the polls on Feb. 2 to decide on a $617 million bond proposal. The money would enable the district to renovate aging facilities throughout the system. Many of the district's 143 schools are more than 40 years old.
