A deputy mayor and a deputy schools chancellor in New York City are reassuring parents that they working hard to solve problems caused by changes to the city’s school bus routes this week. The school system’s midyear bus cutbacks are expected up to $12 million a year, but many parents have comiplained because of glitches such as assigning siblings who attend the same school to different types of transportation.
