Judge orders Sherry Washington to repay $3.32 million to the district

From The Detroit News: Art gallery owner Sherry Washington has been sentenced to serve seven years in prison for her role in a fraud and kickback scheme involving the Detroit school system. A judge also ordered Washington to reimburse the district $3.32 million. A jury earlier this year convicted Washington of conspiracy to commit program fraud and conspiracy to launder money. She help steal more than $3 million from the district and paid $150,000 in kickbacks to schools executive Stephen Hill.
