Nov. 9, 2009

From The San Antonio Express-News: After four years and $450 million, the Alamo Colleges in Bexar County, Texas, have wrapped up the community college district's largest-ever bond package, adding at least 24 new buildings and 1.3 million square feet at its five colleges. This fall, enrollment hit an all-time high of nearly 59,000 students and is expected to keep growing as the economy flounders and students seek a low-cost option for college. The newest college, Northeast Lakeview, opened its doors to a completed campus this fall.
