Board of Education has approved a settlement that will remove Superintendent of Schools Harvey Polansky, who is facing misdemeanor sexual assault charges involving two female principals. Polansky, who's been on paid leave since November, was charged in January with inappropriately touching the principals. Polansky, superintendent of schools in Milford, Conn.,has been arraigned on charges that he inappropriately touched two female principals. Polansky did not enter a plea; his lawyer says Polansky will plead not guilty to the two counts each of fourth-degree sexual assault and breach of peace. He has an agreement in principle with the school board to resign, but has yet to sign the agreement. The agreement calls for h im to immediately step down as superintendent in return for a pay and benefits package totaling $125,000.
