Nederland board decides to withdraw $126.1 million proposal

The Nederland (Texas) school board has voted to postpone a planned $126.1 million bond election. The question was to be on the Nov. 4 ballot but district officials say damage from Hurricane Ike has created uncertainty regarding the district's projected average daily attendance, tax base and facilities needs.
