Columbus (Ohio) district report says 66 employees lost their jobs last year because of misconduct

From The Columbus Dispatch: A wide range of misconduct allegations -- some serious -- cost 66 employees of the Columbus (Ohio) school district their jobs last year, either through resignations or firings, according to a district report. The report offered a glimpse into the disciplinary issues Ohio's largest school district faces each year. The 66 employees who lost jobs represent 0.7 percent of the district's roughly 10,000 employees. Another 56 employees received suspensions without pay. Out of 467 investigations -- ranging from taking too many sick days to abusing or improperly touching students -- 100 workers were cleared of misconduct allegations without a hearing, another 32 were cleared after a hearing, 211 received "written action," and two were counseled.
