Clifton, Va., elementary school closes its doors today

Fairfax County district is closing the school, which has served Clifton for 99 years

From NBC Washington: Clifton Elementary School in Clifton, Va., is closing its doors for good. The Fairfax County School Board decided to shutter the school, which has served the community of Clifton since 1912. School supporters from the community sued to stop the closing, but the Virginia Supreme Court upheld Fairfax County's decision.
