Bill to cut diesel pollution goes to governor

From The Portland Oregonian: The Oregon legislature has approved a bill to reduce diesel pollution from the state's school buses, and the bill is headed to Gov. Ted Kulongoski's desk. The bill requires that all diesel school buses be retrofitted with advanced exhaust controls by 2017; those that are too old to be retrofitted must be replaced by 2025. Oregon has about 4,600 diesel-powered school buses, including 251 built before 1994 that need to be replaced and 2,400 that require retrofits to reduce high levels of particulates and other air tox
