City wants University of Maryland, Baltimore, to situate new bookstore where it can energize development

The city of Baltimore is pressing the University of Maryland, Baltimore, to put a planned student bookstore at the northeast corner of Baltimore and Paca streets, a move the city hopes will inject more energy and visibility to an area undergoing a slow transformation.
