Jefferson County (Colo.) district considers closing some schools

Shifting population and budget troubles may force district to eliminate some facilities

From The Denver Post: A shifting population and a budget crunch have pushed the Jefferson County (Colo.) district to consider closing schools and selling buildings. Officials are mulling a list of 45 options for district facilities, ranging from consolidation to changing boundaries and even closing schools. The school board will make final decisions in January and the changes would go into effect for the 2010-11 school year
