Several other schools would share space or move to other buildings
FromThe St. Paul Pioneer Press: St. Paul (Minn.) school Superintendent Valeria Silva is calling for Arlington High School to be closed and a dozen other schools to share space or move into other buildings as part of a cost-cutting plan. The moves would enable the district to close six elementary school buildings. Silva also is seeking to eliminate middle school sports and put elementary instrumental music on the chopping block. Her plan cuts $12.5 million from the budget for 2010-11, on top of $18.5 million in reductions authorized last week
