Vermillion board says policy will apply to students who take part in athletics and extracurriculars

From The Chronicle-Telegram: The Vermilion (Ohio) school board has approved a policy that requires students who take part in athletics, extracurricular activities or who want parking passes to undergo random drug testing. Board members say the policy will not be punitive — students who test positive will not face disciplinary action, provided that they attend counseling. Test results will be seen only by a designated school official and will not be turned over to law enforcement.
