From The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: The Pittsburgh school board has approved a plan to close Pittsburgh Peabody High School, create two single-gender academies at Pittsburgh Westinghouse and a teacher training academy in an effort to improve the city's persistently low-performing high schools.
