Fort Worth board rejects gas leases on district-owned land

Dozens of residents urged board to deny request

From The Fort Worth Star-Telegram: After after dozens of residents expressed opposition, the Fort Worth (Texas) school board voted to reject $2.5 million in gas-lease bids. The leases include about 480 acres of district property. Tensions rose as trustees debated and even bickered about the issue, some accusing others of playing politics with children's safety.
