Veto knocks down controversial education bill in Florida

From The St. Petersburg Times: Florida Gov. Charlie Crist has vetoed a bill that would link teacher pay to student test scores and wipe out tenure for new teachers. Under the bill, half of a teacher's evaluation would have depended on what kind of learning gains students made.
