Indianapolis mayor says he will sponsor an addtional 3 charter schools

From The Indianapolis Star: Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard plans to sponsor three more charter schools, adding to a program the city says is playing a key role in keeping neighborhoods intact when traditional schools close. The proposed schools: Aerospace Junior/Senior High School at Indianapolis International Airport; Irvington Community School, which was launched seven years ago under the auspices of Ball State University and will switch to the mayor's jurisdiction; and the Paramount School of Excellence, which will open on the Near Eastside.
