Queens University of Charlotte will build science and health facility

$4.1 million donation will help pay for building

From The Charlotte Observer: Energy company executive Jim Rogers and his wife, Mary Anne, have donated $4.1 million to Queens University of Charlotte to help build a science and health building in Charlotte, N.C. The $17.4 million building, scheduled to start construction in May and open in fall 2012, will be named for the couple. It will house biology, chemistry, mathematics and environmental science programs, along with administrative offices for the new Blair College of Health as the once all-female liberal arts college continues to evolve into a comprehensive university.
