Voters say no in two South Dakota districts

Bonds would have paid for new and renovated facilities.

Voters in two South Dakota districts have rejected school bond issues. The Meade (S.D.) district could not persuade voters to support an $8 million bond issue that would have helped pay for new and expanded school facilities, and the Belle Fourche district failed to win approval of a $4.65 million bond request that would have paid for renovations at Belle Fourche High School and South Park Elementary School.
