Weld County District 6 is one of several districts in the state to embrace “back-to-scratch” cooking
From The New York Times: When classes resume this week in Weld County (Colo.) District 6, food service employees will be going old school--cooking student meals from scratch. Schools in the district, based in Greeley, will be cooking from scratch about 75 percent of the time, with a goal of reaching 100 percent by this time next year. Colorado is a leader in the back-to-scratch movement.
