Rapides Parish district wants to build on land owned by U.S. Forestry Service

From The Alexandria Town Talk: The Rapides Parish (La.) School District is planning to build an elementary school in Woodworth. The $7 million facility would accommodates students from prekindergarten through eighth grade. The district hopes to build the school on a 33-acre owned from the U.S. Forestry Service. The campus would have a wing for lower elementary and a separate wing for upper elementary students, each with its own play area. The design also calls for an outdoor classroom for educational activities and separate bus and delivery traffic areas. The architect is Alliance Design Group.
