Facilities overhaul in Detroit is progressing

$500 million bond is paying for numerous projects

From The Detroit News: Public school facilities across Detroit are undergoing a multimillion dollar makeover. Thirteen months after voters approved the $500.5 million Proposal S bond, cranes are dotting the landscape, and dilapidated structures are being replaced by high-tech, glass-walled buildings with new science labs, cyber cafes and performing arts centers.
