TheChapman (Kan.) district has bought a 20-acre tract and intends to build an elementary school to replace a facility that was heavily damaged in June by a tornado. The old school is likely to be torn down; elementary students are now attending classes at a Catholic Church parish hall and nearby modular classrooms. When the new school opens, it is expected to serve students in grades K to 5. The architect is Brett Bowman & Associates. To read The Abilene Reflector-Chronicle article, click here.
