TheClay County (Fla.) School Board has eliminated 450 jobs, including about 270 teachers. The cuts were part of a budget-cutting plan recommended by Superintendent Ben Wortham, who projected declining that state and local revenues will leave the school district with a $43 million shortfall for 2009-10.
