Campaign for Educational Equity wants $4,750 more a year for every poor student

From The New York Times: The Campaign for Educational Equity, an institute at Teachers College at Columbia University, is suggesting that the state of New York, which spends an average of $18,126 annually per student, also should pay for an array of support services outside the classroom that would cost an additional $4,750 annually for every poor student.
