More than 100 laid-off teachers rehired in Broward County, Fla.

From The Miami Herald: More than 100 Broward County (Fla.) School District educators who lost their jobs in June have been rehired into different teaching positions. Board members voted to lay off 394 teachers at the end of June but started offering jobs back to some of those teachers as soon as positions opened up. Many spots opened because some teachers decided to resign or retire and others failed to renew their certification.
