Utah seeks more equitable funding for school construction

Task force wants to delay creation of new districts until funding system is in place

A legislative school building equalization task force in Utah has approved a proposed bill that would delay the opening of new school districts -- such as the one that will result from the split of the Jordan School District -- while the state determines how to pay for school construction more equitably.
