Audit uncovers more questionable spending in Seattle district

From The Seattle Times: The price tag for a 2011 financial scandal that upturned the leadership of Seattle Public Schools may be $1.3 million more than previously thought. State auditors say that Silas Potter Jr., approved a series of expenditures that appear to be double and even 10 times what they should have been. Potter, who directed a district program that was supposed to help small businesses win government contracts, already faces first-degree theft charges. Two other people who allegedly conspired with Potter to bilk the district have been charged as well.
