March 7, 2008

The Joplin (Mo.) R-8 School District is planning to build a new South Middle School. The new school will be a 135,000-square-foot facility built on a 60-acre site. The project is expected to cost about $17.2 million; the money comes from a $57 million bond issue that voters approved last year. The architect is Vincent L. Brannon and Associates.
