New president at University of Kentucky promises to build new housing, classrooms

Average age of buildings on Lexington campus is more than 50 years old
Oct. 19, 2011

From The Lexington Herald-Leader: Eli Capilouto, installed as the University of Kentucky's 12th president, marked the occasion with a promise to build new student housing and classroom buildings. Improved facilities are needed because the average age of campus buildings is more than 50 years old, because the university has less access for people with disabilities than any school in the state and because only 10 percent of students on campus live in modern housing.
