Chicago schools will issue "reports cards" that assess school quality
From The Chicago Sun-Times: Chicago Public School officials are designing a "report card" for parents to help them evaluate each school's performance. Jean-Claude Brizard, the system's new chief executive officer, is gathering input from parents about what to include in the report card. A mock-up shows that the system is aiming for easy-to-read charts that would cover graduation and attendance rates, school safety and the percentage of students working at grade level in reading and math, among other indicators. The report card would let parents compare their school with the prior year's findings and with the system as a whole.
