Middle school proposal rejected in Oregon district

Baker district sought $21 million to replace aging facilities
Nov. 19, 2007

The Baker (Ore.) School District has failed to win approval of a $21 million bond measure. The request for funds for a new middle school received only 36 percent of the vote. The bonds would have paid for a modern one-story structure to replace the two-building, multiple-story middle school complex.
