Illinois city annexes land where new high school is planned

Sandwich school district wants to build facility on 60-acre site.
The Sandwich, Ill., City Council has approved an annexation agreement for a site for a possible new high school. The 60-acre site being annexed is under contract to the Sandwich School District and is intended to be the site of a new high school. The school would not be built until voters approve a referendum to provide funding.
