Many residents and politicians have opposed plans for $39 million campus
It's a new elementary school that no one seems to want — except the Palm Beach County (Fla.) school district. Despite protests from residents and politicians, the district is moving ahead with construction and boundary assignments for a $39.4 million campus near Royal Palm Beach and Wellington. It's scheduled to open with 785 students in August 2009 on about 14 acres in unincorporated Palm Beach County.
