District hasn't closed a school in more than 2 decades

From The Washington Post: Monocacy Elementary School in Dickerson, Md., could become the first in Montgomery County, Md., to close in more than two decades. The district has proposed sending Monocacy's 176 students to Poolesville Elementary School for the beginning of the next school year. Both schools have seen their student populations fall over the past decade even as the district's enrollment has surged to more than 140,000.
