High school in New York state gets historical designation

Williamsville South High added to National Register of Historic Places

Williamsville South High School in Williamsville, N.Y., has been added to the National Register of Historic Places. Williamsville Superintendent Howard Smith says the school was selected because it is a classic example of mid-20th century architecture. The designation will allow the school to pursue potential state, federal and private grants and enable the district to maintain and expand the 59-year-old building.
