Construction to begin on new high school in Lorain, Ohio

$73 million campus is scheduled to open in 2016

From The Chronicle-Telegram: The Lorain (Ohio) district has broken ground on a new $73 million high school. The 315,000-square-foot facility is set to open in 2016 and is projected to house about 1,900 students. It will include a three-floor academic wing, an 800-seat auditorium, a career tech center and a gymnasium. Until the new campus opens, sophomores, juniors and seniors are attending the former Southview High School, and freshmen are attending the former Southview Middle School.
