Voters are rejecting Auburn (Wash.) school district bond

$285 million facilities plan would have paid for upgrades on many campuses

Voters in the Auburn (Wash.) School District were rejecting a $239 million bond issue. It would have provided money a to replace three schools: Auburn High School, Olympic Middle School and Terminal Park Elementary School. Election night results also showed that a $46.4 million capital-improvements levy was failing. It would have paid for improvements at 18 schools and six support facilities.
