$399 million bond proposal in Northeast (Texas) district

November ballot question seeks approval for construction projects

From The San Antonio Express-News: North East (Texas) Independent School District trustees have place a $399.4 million proposal on the November ballot. The 18 proposed projects in the proposal include $65 million to build a middle school; $92.5 million for portable replacement projects at three elementary and two middle schools; and $64 million for technology. The district, based in San Antonio, has about 67,000 students, an increase of about 1,000 since last year.
