Tax shortfall jeopardizes Palm Beach County school construction

Decline in revenues means every project needs to be re-evaluated.

Palm Beach County (Fla.) school district planners had braced for a decline in property tax revenue next year. But what they didn't expect was a drop so sharp it would put the district's entire five-year capital plan in doubt. They are in line to receive $281 million less than expected during the next five years, and nearly every project on the table will have to reevaluated.
