Mesa (Ariz.) board postpones bond election

District had planned to put $250 million request on November ballot

From The Arizona Republic: Mesa (Ariz.) Public Schools officials will wait until 2012 to ask voters to approve a $250 million bond. Two weeks ago, the school board approved putting the issue on the Nov. 8 ballot, but after meeting with city and state officials, they have backed off. Board members said delaying the vote will give provide more time to communicate the needs of the district.
